Monica Sullivan. Joey Bear and Yvette, Private Detectives (1982) 42 pp. [tpo]
Joey, a Teddy bear, and his partner Yvette, a doll, are private detectives
on the mean streets of San Francisco. One day Timmy comes into their office
to ask them to help him find his friend Miranda, who has apparently flown
away with a balloon. Joey and Yvette set out to find the missing Miranda
and get help from Patsy Ann, who has a special “power” for cases like this.
Joey eventually cracks the case and saves the day. The story is illustrated
throughout with photographs by Steve Rubenstein, including several shots
of Joey and his pals in “action.”
