Off-site CollectionsNorthern Regional Library Facility (NRLF) The Northern Regional Library Facility (NRLF) is a cooperative library storage facility owned and operated by the University of California and located on the grounds of UC Berkeley's Richmond Field Station. It serves the four University of California campuses in Northern California, providing off-campus housing for materials of all formats, including archival collections and rare books. Due to on-campus space limitations, a large percentage of Bancroft Library material is stored there. All Bancroft material housed in NRLF is non-circulating and must be used in the Heller Reading Room. To determine what Bancroft materials are stored at NRLF, please consult OskiCat, the UCB Library catalog. The items' location will be designated as Bancroft (NRLF). Materials stored at NRLF may be requested via the Online Bancroft Material Request Form, or via telephone by calling the Reference Desk during normal library hours at (510) 642-6481. Material paged from NRLF is available for viewing in the Reading Room at 10 AM three business days after the initial request. We allow two weeks for patrons to make initial use before returning material to NRLF. |
