The Bancroft Library Move 2005

Since 2005, The Bancroft Library has been undergoing a major construction project which included a complete California state-mandated seismic retrofit of the Doe Annex (the building that houses Bancroft), along with significant programmatic improvements to library. Due to the construction project, the library and its divisions (University Archives, MTP, CTP, and ROHO) were moved to temporary quarters at 2121 Allston Way, 2195 Hearst Avenue, and Room 251 of Evans Hall.

The 2005 Bancroft Library Move was planned by three specially-appointed task forces. The work of the task forces was coordinated by Bancroft Surge Team Coordinator Randal Brandt.
