Updates
We are now closed until mid-Fall 2008. The internal reconstruction of the Doe Annex has been completed, and we are beginning our move back to campus. During the closure period, the Bancroft Reference, Duplication, and Permissions services will continue to operate on a very limited basis due to the inaccessibility of our collections. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause our users.

The Bancroft Library Move 2005
Since 2005, The Bancroft Library has been undergoing a major construction project which included a complete California state-mandated seismic retrofit of the Doe Annex (the building that houses Bancroft), along with significant programmatic improvements to
library. Due to the construction project, the library and its divisions (University Archives, MTP, CTP, and ROHO) were moved to temporary quarters at 2121 Allston Way, 2195 Hearst Avenue, and Room 251 of Evans Hall.
The 2005 Bancroft Library Move was planned by three specially-appointed task forces. The work of the task forces was coordinated by Bancroft Surge Team Coordinator Randal Brandt.
