II (contemporary paper) + 156, contemporary foliation in Arabic numerals, 1-123 and 133-140 with 106 bis and an unnumbered folio between ff. 112 and 113, 228 × 145 (145 × 95) mm., 28-30 long lines, 110 214 310 414 510 614 710 814 910 1014 1110 (-6th through 10th) 124 1318 (+ 4th) 148, catchwords often cropped, frame ruled in ink, written by one person, bastarda script. Decoration: 3-4 line red initials throughout with pen flourishes and decorated with leaves and faces; spaces occasionally left blank for initials; ff. 74v-78v contain the most frequent use of 3 to 4ߚline initials; initials slashed in red, and numerous pointing hands and flowers (in red) in the margins. Binding, 16thߚcent. dark brown calf over wooden boards, blind stamp frame on outer margin of the cover, remains of three clasps, one brass boss of original four on the front and back covers, library label on the front cover with "Vita philosophorum et poetarum cum alijs in principio libri signatis". ff. 117v-121, Petrarch, Psalmi penitentiales , title "Fecit et is ipse universalis Franciscus subsequens breve quamvis sed opus devotum septem contricionis ac penitencie psalmos propria letanya", inc.
