Petrarch P D19 Z5Paper (Huchet, similar to Briquet 7693), ff. 20, not foliated, 220 × 150 (150 × 75) mm., 25-27 long lines, 1-210, horizontal catchword on f. 10v, frame ruled in lead, written by one person, cursive humanistic script which becomes careless in the end. Decoration: f. 1, a 2ߚline initial; on f. 1, a note in the margin explaining the fatigue which L. Bruni mentions in the preface. Binding, limp parchment which contains a rhetorical text written in a cursive script with notarial features, s. XIVex., on the front cover is written "La vita di Dante e di Petrarcha" with the number 16 written above. ff. 1-19v, Leonardo Bruni, Vita di Dante e di Petrarca, title "Comincia il libro della vita, studii et costumi di Dante Alighieri et di messer Francesco Petrarcha poeti chiarissimi composta novissimamente da messer Lionardo cancelliere fiorentino"; f. 1rv, Preface, inc. "Avendo in questi giorni posto fine ... Vegnamo adunque prima al facto di Dante"; ff. 1v-13, Vita di Dante, "Comincia la vita di Dante Alighieri", inc.
