The photography of the temple rooms and artifacts was accomplished in January of 2000 by a team which included photographers from the UC Berkeley Library, docents with the City of Oroville, and staff from the city Department of Parks and Trees. A temporary photographic studio was set up in the Tapestry Hall, and docents brought the more portable of the Museum's artifacts to the studio to be photographed using tungsten softbox lighting against a seamless background. Parks and Trees staff provided facilities support such as electrical hookups for lighting; and assembled, moved, and reassembled display cases when necessary. Artifacts which we were unable to move were photographed in place, along with the interior views of the rooms, using strobe equipment. The resulting 35mm transparency film was scanned at the Digital Imaging Lab in Berkeley. Historic photographic prints from the Museum's collections were also scanned at the Digital Imaging Lab.
