Italian Americans have been involved in almost every major event in California’s history since the 17th Century. This timeline identifies important events to which Italian Americans have contributed. It’s impossible to cover everything and it is far from being comprehensive. Its purpose is to provide you a snapshot of their influence in the history of California from the Spanish migration to recent times.
