Douglas Holtz-Eakin received a Ph.D. in economics from Princeton University in 1985. He served a Senior Staff Economist on President George H.W. Bush's Council of Economic Advisors from 1989 to 1990, as Chief Economist on President George W. Bush's Council of Economic Advisors from 2001 to 2001, and as Director of the Congressional Budget Office from 2003 to 2005.
