On-Going Contributions to Project

Our Indiegogo crowdfunding has drawn to a close, raising over $7500. A big thanks to everyone that contributed, sponsored our fundraising events, and helped us spread the word!
While we did not meet our fundraising goal, we've raised enough to start the project as we hoped.
While we look for additional sponsors to fund the larger project, we are still accepting contributions.

Our Indiegogo Campaign

ROHO is pleased to announce the launch of our first crowdfunding campaign through Indiegogo. The campaign will run from Tuesday, June 3 2014 to Friday, July 11 2014. We will be offering a series of “perks,” including a narrative cocktail recipe book, teaser compilation of the interviews, a private distillery tour and tasting, a spirit seminar, a sherry cocktail class, and an interviewing class. All contributions made to the project are tax deductible and will go to offsetting the interview costs.

About the Project

West Coast Cocktails: An Oral History is a new project from UC Berkeley's Regional Oral History Office, will trace the legacy of cocktails and spirits through a series of long-form life history interviews with key figures in the industry, including bar owners, bartenders, craft distillers, and cocktail historians. We will document:
-the role of geography and culinary effects
-the influence of craft and artisanal culture
