Search for an addressee, last name first  (not case sensitive):
Adams, John Retrieves letters to John Adams and letters to John D. Adams When you choose "addressee" as the primary sort, all the letters to the same person will usually be sorted together. But when the name you search occurs as both a sole addressee and as the second of two addressees, all the letters to that person will not sort together. For example, letters addressed jointly to Theodore and Susan Crane will be listed only under "Crane, Theodore," after all the letters to Theodore alone. To retrieve all the letters to Susan Crane sorted together, choose "date" as the primary sort.
Adams Retrieves letters to John Adams and letters to Maude Adams, etc.
