Editorial
work has been supported, without interruption, since 1967 by grants from
the National Endowment for the Humanities. Any views, findings, conclusions, or
recommendations expressed in this website do not necessarily reflect those of the National
Endowment for the Humanities (NEH).
Since 1980 the Endowment's
support has been contingent in part on increased support from the University
of California, The Friends of The Bancroft Library, and from many individuals
and foundations. If work on the scholarly edition is to continue, the amount
of such private support will need to grow. Donations in support of the
Project's editorial work are welcomed and are tax deductible. Checks should
be made out to The Mark Twain Project. Mail
to the Mark Twain Project, University of California, The Bancroft Library, Room 475, Berkeley, CA 94720-6000.
Donors who contribute
at least $1500 may wish to join the Mark Twain Luncheon Club, whose
members are invited to two very special luncheons a year, with guest speakers
such as documentary film maker Ken Burns.
If you would
like to make your gift to the Project
electronically,
once you get to the e-giving site, select "Mark Twain Project" from the
list. |
