"Taming the Bicycle" (1884) [typescript revised by Mark Twain] Clemens wrote this amusing record of his failed attempt to master cycling in 1884. He had the sketch typed, then heavily revised the typescript, but apparently continued to find it unsatisfactory: it was not published in his lifetime. |
