Mark Twain's Notebook Mark Twain's Notebook

This notebook, used in 1891 and 1892, was one of a group of twelve custom-made tabbed notebooks that Clemens ordered in July 1888.

The design was his own: the tabs were intended to be torn off as each page was filled, making it easy for Clemens to find the next available page.
