The Californian Illustrated Magazine, 1893

One of Kinman's grizzly bear chairs was displayed at the World's Fair in Chicago in 1893 as part of the display of riches for Humboldt County. The violin resting on the chair was also of Kinman's crafting, made from the skull of one of his favorite mules.
